Nicole Hernandez is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate specializing in equine-assisted psychotherapy, adult and child sex trafficking, sexual assault, domestic violence and maintains a private practice in Rowlett, TX. Nicole is supervised by Doug Smith MS, LPC-S, LCDC. Nicole earned a B.A in Psychology from Dallas Christian College and M.A in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. Nicole’s passion to bring awareness to worldwide injustices and advocate for society's most vulnerable. Nicole has spent time working in a variety of settings from sex trafficking rehabilitation centers, domestic violence shelters, orphanages and a child sex trafficking advocacy center. Through her personal experience with her rescue horses, Nicole has also developed a deeper understanding in the mental health benefits in interacting with equine.

This is why it is my passion to empower and support survivors through their healing journey. I believe every individual is unique and every healing journey is unique. What may work for someone may not work for you. That is why I provide a variety of services to meet the specific needs of each client.
